NATIONS THAT FORGET GOD

Psalm 9:17 “The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.” Psalm 33.12 “Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.”(KJV)

I often wake at night and spend that time in prayer.
For God tells me in His word to cast on Him my care.
The first thing on my mind is our country’s awful mess.
And so like ancient Daniel, our nation’s sins confess.

But God is not surprised by the mess that we are in.
He said that it would come if we continued in our sin.
When a nation forgets God they’ll reap the consequence.
And the punishment from God will be mighty and intense.

The worst thing that we did was take God out of our schools.
And now what we turn out is uneducated fools.
These fools have now grown up with God left far behind.
And now the path they take, one would think that they are blind.

With God kicked out of schools, abortion became law.
Now millions of unborn have suffered from this flaw.
When a nation forgets God the wicked will abound.
Unless revival comes, no mercy will be found.

“Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord.”
To put God from our lives we surely can’t afford.
The sad thing that I see is it will not be reversed.
And thus the fate we face; at God’s hands we’ll be cursed.
